Using the Camera App:
Open the Camera app on your Android phone.
Look for a "Lens" icon or setting (might be under
"More" or "Settings"). Enable Google Lens suggestions if
available on your phone.
Point your camera at the QR code. You should see a box
appear around the code.
A notification with the decoded information from the QR code
will pop up. Tap on it to interact with the link or information.
Using Google Assistant:
Open the Google Assistant app or swipe up from the bottom corner (depending on your phone model).
Tap the "Lens" icon (looks like a camera with a
starburst).
Point your camera at the QR code and a notification will
appear with the decoded information. Tap to proceed.
What if the Image (QR Code) is already on your phone
Here's how to use Google Lens on an Android phone to scan a QR code from an image:
Open the image containing the QR code in your Gallery app.
Depending on your phone model, you might see a Google Lens
icon directly on the image. Tap that icon to scan the QR code.
Alternatively, some phones don't show the Lens icon
directly. In that case, tap the "Share" or "More options"
button (three dots) and look for an option mentioning "Lens" or
"Google Lens".
Once you activate Lens, it will analyze the image and
identify the QR code. A pop-up will appear with the decoded information. Tap it
to interact with the link or information.
